Executive Director – White Plains Housing Authority

The Executive Director provides essential leadership in advancing the organization’s strategic direction, and workplace culture. This position is entrusted eith the fulfillment of the mission and strategic plan of the organization and is the lead staff person for oganizational governance. Further, this role is the key and leading role for the business of the organization, and involves planning, organizing, directing, controlling and administering operational policies and procedures.

Desirable Training and Experience: Either

A) Master’s Degree* in Business or Public Administration, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Public Housing or Facilities Management in an automated environment, two (2) of which shall have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or

B) Bachelor’s Degree* in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Facilities Management or a related housing field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in public housing, or facilities management in an automated environment, two (2) years of which shall have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or

C) A satisfactory equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A) and B) above.

Special Requirement: Must possess or be eligible for Certifiaction as Public Housing Property Manager,

*Note: Education beyond the secondary level must be from a regionally accredited institution or one recognized or accredited by the Board of Regents of the New York STate Department of Education as a post-secondary degree granting institution.
